| Steve Grogan was the quarterback of the New England Patriots from 1975 until 1990, but will always be remembered as more than just that. He is considered by many to be one of the best rushing quarterbacks of all time and is revered as one of the hardest hitters and toughest player in Patriots history.
Grogan is the New England Patriots' all-time career passing leader with 3,593 attempts 1,879 completions, 26,886 yards and 182 touchdowns. His 2,164 yards (4.9 per carry) and 35 touchdowns during his career places him as the Patriots' third overall all-time rusher.
Four times Grogan led the Patriots to the Playoffs, including a trip to Super Bowl XX. Following his standout career, Grogan was named to the Patriots Hall of Fame as well as the team's 35th Anniversary Team in 1994.
