Following a standout collegiate career with the Kansas Jayhawks, Pierce was drafted in the 1st Round by the Boston Celtics in the 1999 NBA draft. Widely considered as one of the most underrated players in the league, Pierce consistently finds himself among league leaders in a wide array of offensive categories and his explosive, consistent play has led the Celtics to repeated playoff births.
After several years of frustration, the organization acquired Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen prior to the 2007-08 season. Teamed with these two, Pierce became a part of one of the most dangerous and productive trios in the league and helped the team have one of the best one year turnarounds in the history of the league.
Pierce then capped off the team's incredible turnaround by helping the team win its 17th NBA Championship. He was stellar throughout the Playoffs, both on offense and defense, and forever cemented his legacy in Celtics' history when he was named the 2008 NBA Finals MVP after his Celtics knocked off the Lakers in 6 games.
