| Armed with an over-powering fastball and an extremly effective curve ball, Manny Delcarmen has the tools to be a great pitcher in the Majors. Delcarmen was a 2nd Round Pick of the Boston Red Sox in 2000 and has worked his way through the minors, first seeing time at the Major League level in 2005.
In limited action so far, he has been efficient and effective and is being counted on to provid solid middle relief for the Red Sox in the upcoming season and beyond. During the 2007 season, Delcarmen appeared in 44 games and posted and impressive 2.05 ERA, and was a key member of the Red Sox World Series Championship Team.
