Drafted by the team in 1965, Gerry Cheevers would go on to become one of the Boston Bruins' most recognizable and successful goalies in team history. After spending a few years in the Minors, Cheevers became the Bruins #1 goalie in 1967 and did not disappoint. He backstopped the Bruins to Stanley Cup titles in both 1970 and 1972 and set an NHL record in the 1971-72 season when he went undefeated in 33 consecutive games.
He would jump to the upstart World Hockey Association for several years in the 70's before returning to the Bruins where he finished his NHL career, retiring well known for his outstanding play as well as his trademark goalie mask which featured sitch marks all over it. Cheevers finished his career with 230 NHL Wins and 26 NHL shutouts to go along with a 2.89 GAA. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1985.
This Unframed 8x10 Boston Bruins Photo is signed by Cheevers and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
