Originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates, Bronson Arroyo became a member of the Boston Red Sox in 2003 and established himself as a solid member of their starting rotation. Sporting corn rows and an unorthodox leg kick throughout the 2004 playoffs, Arroyo played a key role in helping to lead the Sox to their first World Series Championship since 1918.
He was also involved in one of the most infamous plays in playoff history when Yankees 3rd baseman Alex Rodriguez attempted to swat the ball out of Arroyo's glove while running to first. Despite jarring the ball loose, Rodriguez was called out and the momentum for the Red Sox historic series comeback grew.
Arroyo was traded to the Cincinatti Reds before the 2006 Season and has since become a star of the Reds' rotation. In perhaps his best season to date, Arroyo led the national league in innings pitched and finished the season with a 14-11 record, along with a 3.29 ERA. He was also named to his first All-Star game during the season.
This Unframed 8x10 Boston Red Sox 2004 ALCS Leg Kick Photo is signed by Arroyo and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
