Lee Evans, an undersized but physical receiver with the speed and ability to stretch the field, first gained national attention when he established himself as one of the best receivers in college football while starring for the Wisconsin Badgers. While at Wisconsin he was the only player in school history to gain over 1,000 yards receiving in a season, accomplishing that feat twice. He is also the only player to catch more than 60 passes in a season in school history and broke the old school career records for receptions, yards, and touchdown catches.
Following his record breaking college campaign, Evans was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 13th overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft. He didn't disappoint and produced a stellar rookie season when he led the team with 9 touchdown receptions. He has since become the Bills go to receiver and followed with an equally impressive sophomore campaign in 2005 during which he grabbed 48 passes for 743 yards, with a team leading 15.5 yards per catch average and 7 touchdowns.
His best year to date, however, came in 2006 when he hauled in 82 passes for 1,292 yards and 8 touchdowns, including a record-breaking game where he recorded an astonishing 265 yards receiving, most of which came on two seperate 83 yard touchdown receptions.
