Dubbed as the greatest linebacker to ever play at Penn State Universtiy by All-American and Hall of Fame linebacker Jack Hamm, Paul Posluszny lived up to that billing during his storied four year career at Penn State.  A local product, Posluszny earned playing time his freshman year and was starting by the end of the year, earning Big Ten All-Freshmen team honors in the process.

Posluszny built off his freshman campaign with an even stronger sophomore season when he started every game and led the team in tackles. He also played a key role in helping Penn State to rank in the top 10 in both total defense and scoring defense.  However, it was his junior year that Posluszny emerged on the national scene, helping resurrect a struggling PSU squad.  Poz became the first junior captain at Penn State in nearly 40 years and helped lead the team to an 11-1 record and #3 national ranking.  While recording 116 tackles during the year, Posluszny was named the Ten Defensive Player-of-the-Week a record-breaking three consecutive times and won both the Chuck Bednarik and Dick Butkus Awards, awarded to the College Defensive Player and Linebacker of the Year, respectively.

After moving to inside linebacker his senior season, Posluszny once again put up big numbers, recording 116 tackles en route to breaking Greg Buttle's school record for tackles.  He became only the 2nd player ever to win two Chuck Bednarik Awards and was named as an All-American for the second time in his career, becoming the first Penn State linebacker to be a two-time AP All-American in the illustrious history of Linebacker U.

Following his storied PSU career, Posluszny was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the 34th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft.  Despite an injury shortened rookie season, Posluszny impressed the team's coaching staff and is expected to step right in as a starter, while helping to lead the Bills back to among the AFC's elite teams.
