| Following a standout career at the University of Florida, Jabar Gaffney was taken by the Houston Texans with the 33rd overall pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. Gaffney had four solid seasons with the team, racking up 171 catches for over 2,000 yards while with the Texans.
Gaffney signed on with the New England Patriots in 2006 and saw limited action during the regular season. However, during the 2006 Playoffs Gaffney became Tom Brady's go-to receiver and posted back to back 100 yard games in the Patriots' playoff wins over the Jets and the Chargers.
Gaffney returned to the Patriots for the 2007 season and would serve as a key component in the team's revamped, high-powered offense. He would finish the season with 36 catches for 449 yards and 5 TD's, including a game-winning TD catch in the final minute against the Ravens, helping to preserve the Patriots undefeated season.
