After setting several school records for tight ends at Michigan State University, Chris Baker took his talents to the NFL when he was drafted by the New York Jets in the 3rd Round of the 2002 NFL Draft.  He saw limited action in his first several seasons on both offense and special teams before becoming the full time starter in 2006.  Baker responded by setting career highs in receptions, yards, and touchdowns and has emerged as a key playmaker for the Jets' offense.

He followed with another strong season in 2007, recording 41 catches for over 400 yards to go along with 3 touchdowns.
