| Moose Skowron was signed by the New York Yankees in 1950 and would go on to spend the majority of his career with the team. Although he platooned at first base for the first several years of his career, Skowron eventually earned the starting nod and went on to be a 5-time All-Star 1st baseman for the Yankees.
