A former waiter and substitute teacher, David Akers is now one of the most consistent and respected place kickers in the NFL. Akers is the Eagles' all-time leader in FGs and is 2nd all-time in NFL history in FG percentage.  Akers also set an NFL record in 2004 by nailing 17 FGs of 40 yds. or more. He is a two-time Pro Bowl selection and is among the league leaders in most points recorded in the NFL since 2000.
