Cornerback Ike Taylor emerged as a star this year for the Pittsburgh Steelers, solidifying the Steelers' secondary and turning it into a consistent strength, especially throughout the playoffs. Although relatively unknown coming out of a small college school, the Steelers saw potential in the big, athletic corner, drafting him in the 4th Round of the 2003 draft.
After spending his first two years mainly as a standout special teams player, Taylor earned the starting cornerback position in 2005 and proved he was the man for the job. He finished the regular season with 84 tackles and 20 passes defensed.
His great play continued in the 2005 playoffs, including a big interception in the AFC Championship Game against the Broncos. Taylor performed on the biggest of all stages as well, capping off a great season with a huge momentum turning 24 yard interception and return in Super Bowl 40, along with a team leading 7 tackles.
This unframed 8x10 photo of that Super Bowl interception is signed by Taylor and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
