A major leaguer for 17 seasons, Bobby Murcer spent the majority of his career with the New York Yankees where he would then return after his playing career to serve as a popular, longtime broadcaster. Murcer served as the team's centerfielder where he provided outstanding defense, highlighted by a league-leading 119 outfield assists during the 1970's, and would go on to be a 5X All-Star, as well as a Gold Glove winner in 1972.  He finished his playing career with 252 homeruns and over 1,000 RBIs, retiring as one of the most popular Yankees players among both teammates and fans.
