Following a lengthy stint in the Minors, despite his college success and impressive numbers, Paul Lo Duca finally got his call up to the Majors in 2001at the age of 29 when he joined the Los Angeles Dodgers.  A model of consistency and hard work, Lo Duca immediately proved he belonged.  With a strong defensive game highlighted by his cannon arm and his ability to make contact at the plate, Lo Duca quickly established himself as one of the best catchers in the game, earning multiple All-Star game appearances.

Following a short stint with the Florida Marlins, Lo Duca was traded to the New York Mets and has become a stabilizing veteran presence on a young and talented team.  In his first full year with the Mets, he batted .318 with over 160 hits and helped lead the Mets back the Playoffs with the best record in the National League.
