| Knicknamed "The Chief", 7 foot center Robert Parish spent over two decades in the NBA after being drafted in the 1st Round of the 1976 Draft by the Golden State Warriors. He spent the majority of his career with the Boston Celtics however, establishing himself as one of the premier centers in the game throughout the 80's and early 90's.
It was in Boston that Parish teamed up with Larry Bird and Kevin McHale to form one of the most formidable frontlines the NBA has ever seen, known by many as "The Big 3". A rare combination of height and speed, Parish was a defensive stopper in the middle for the Celtics and also had the ability to get out and finish on the break. These skills, coupled with his unorthodox but effective jump shot, allowed Parish to play key roles in all 3 of the Celtics' NBA Championships in the 80's.
An 9-time All Star, Parish finished his illustrious career with 23,334 points, 14,715 rebounds, and 2,361 blocks and played in an umatched 1,611 games over 21 seasons. He was enshrined in the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003.
This Spalding Indoor/Outdoor Basketball Inscribed "The Chief" & "HOF 03" is signed by Parish and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
