An outstanding high school player, Rajon Rondo was one of the most sought after recruits in the country before deciding to attend the University of Kentucky.  Blessed with extreme athleticism, quickness, and length, Rondo quickly established himself as one of the best defensive and rebounding point guards in the country.  Following two successful years in college, Rondo declared himself eligible for the NBA Draft and was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the 1st Round, who then quickly dealt Rondo to the Boston Celtics.

Combining a steady floor game with his defensive prowess, Rondo earned steadily increasing playing time and was named the team's starting point guard in just his second year in the league.  Rondo is now being counted on to quarterback a talented Celtics team back to the top of the Eastern Conference, while helping to spread the ball among the team's many stars.
