The first ever UCLA Bruin to earn First Team All-Pac-10 honors all four years of his college career, Jason Kapono is also the only Bruin to lead the team in scoring for four straight years.  He finished his storied collegiate career ranked third on UCLA's all-time scoring list and used his success as a springboard to be drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 31st overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft.

Following stints with the Cavs and Charlotte Bobcats, Kapono was traded to the Miami Heat at the beginning of the 2005-06 season and has found a home on the team as a stellar outside shooter.  Playing with the likes of Dwyane Wade and Shaquille O'Neal, Kapono has been effective in preventing opposing teams from double teaming with his deadly outside shooting and played a key role in helping the Heat win their first ever NBA Championship in his first year with the team. 

During the 06-07 season, Kapono developed into an even more accurate outside shooter, leading the league in 3-pt. FG % and also winning the 3-Pt. Shooting Contest at the 2007 All-Star Game.
