| A talented and entertaining guard, Jason Williams gained national attention as a free-shooting, flashy point guard for the University of Florida. NBA teams took notice and following his one year at Florida, Williams was selected by the Sacramento Kings with the 7th Overall Pick in the 1998 NBA Draft.
Teaming up with the likes of Chris Webber and Vlade Divac, Williams piloted the Kings to the top tier of the Western Conference. With his highlight-reel style of play combined with the team's success, Williams quickly became one of the league's most popular players.
Following several years with the Kings and then a few with the Grizzlies, Williams was a part of the biggest trade in NBA history that landed him in a Miami Heat uniform. He became the starting point guard for the team and guided a prolific offense that vaulted the Heat to the top of the Eastern Conference. In the clinching game of the Eastern Conference Finals, Williams put on a clinic, hitting 10 of 11 shots for 21 points. His strong play cotinued in the 2006 Finals and he played an instrumental role in helping the Heat to win their first ever NBA Championship.
