Banks was a steady and consistent player who made the Pro Bowl in 1987 due to his stellar play and was a key piece of a Giants team that experienced continued success throughout the 1980's.
He helped lead the Giants to Super Bowl XXI and XXV victories over the Broncos and Bills, respectively, earning himself a place on the 1980's All-Decade Team in the process.
