Chris Chambliss was a model of consistency with the Yankees, averaging over 90 RBIs with the team and even taking home a Gold Glove 1978 after leading all AL 1st basemen in fielding percentage. Chambliss is best known for his stellar performances during the Yankees pennant runs in the late 70's, namely during the 1976 ALCS against the Kansas City Royals when he batted .524 and tied or broke five LCS records for hits and RBI, including a 9th-inning, game-winning home run in Game 5.
In 1978, the Chambliss's teammate Bucky Dent was the unlikely hero in the playoff game against Boston when his short three-run homer over Fenway's Green Monster, off Mike Torrez, changed the course of the game and the Yankees went on to win 5-4. Dent forever cemented himself in Yankees' baseball lure and also became a hated name throughout Red Sox Nation.
This Framed 16x20 New York Yankees Photo of Chambliss greeting Dent at home after Dent's homerun is Inscribed "78 GW HR" by Dent and is autographed by both Dent and Chambliss and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
