After starring at the University of Notre Dame, Jerome Bettis was taken in the first round of the 1993 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Bettis excelled as a rookie, rushing for almost 1,500 yards and taking home Rookie of the Year honors. However, after several years with the Rams, Bettis saw his carries and overall numbers decline and he was ultimately traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1996. From there, his career took off.
Bettis earned the nickname "The Bus" for his tendency to run over defenders who were attempting to tackle him and helped give the Steelers one of the best rushing offenses in the league. Bettis, a 6-time Pro Bowler who has become the heart and soul of one of the NFL's most successful franchises, is currently 5th all-time on the NFL's rushing list.
This framed 16x20 photo with nameplate of Bettis waving goodbye after his last NFL game, Super Bowl XL, is signed by Bettis and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
