| Known as the "Silver Fox", Duke Snider was a talented center fielder with a picture perfect swing. He spent all but 2 years of his career with the Brooklyn and Los Angeles Dodgers, and helped lead the team to the top of the Majors during the 1950's. In this time, Snider and the Dodgers went to 6 World Series and were World Champions in 1955 and 1959. He also became the only player to hit 4 HRs or more in two different World Series, which he did in 1952 and 1955. Snider hit 40 or more homeruns in 5 consecutive seasons and finished his career with 407 homers. The 8-time All-Star was selected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1980. This framed 8x10 photo of Snider recording the last out in the World Series is signed by Snider and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. |
