He has been the heart and soul of an Eagles stingy defense that has consistently ranked among the league's best in recent years and he is regarded by many as the best safety in the NFL.  His tenacious play and leadership on the field make him a fan favorite in Philadelphia and a respected and feared player across the league.  Dawkins had another stellar season in 2005, collecting 80 tackles, 3.5 sacks, and 3 interceptions.
