A diminutive forward that makes up for his lack of size with incredible quickness and puck handling, Daniel Briere was originally drafted by the Phoenix Coyotes with the 24th Overall Pick in the 1996 NHL Draft. He dominated in the Minors and became a regular for the Coyotes in the 1998-99 season. Briere's best year with the team came in the 2001-02 season when he appeared in 78 games and recorded 32 goals and 28 assists. He then moved on to Buffalo where he became one of the Sabres' top players.
After eclipsing the 60 point mark in his first full season with the Sabres, Briere began to establish himself as one of the game's top forwards. Following the lockout, he thrived in the new, more open NHL, nightly showcasing his skills and setting up both his teammates and himself. Briere's play-making skills were never more apparent than in the 2006-07 season where he earned his first All-Stat appearance and recorded then career bests of 32 goals, 63 assists, and 95 points.
Despite his production for the team, the Sabres were unable to retain Briere when he became a free agent and he signed a lucrative, long-term deal with the Philadelphia Flyers. Briere's dynamic style of play paid immediate dividends for the Flyers and he has become of the team's top players and a cornerstone for a team looking to return to top of the NHL.
This Philadelphia Flyers Authentic White Jersey is signed by Briere and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
