Best known for his coaching years with Philadelphia Eagles, Buddy Ryan was a great defensive mind who coached some of the best defensive teams of all time.  After serving as the Defensive Coordinator for the Chicago Bears during their 1985 Super Bowl run and piloting a record-breaking defense, Ryan was hired by the Eagles to serve as their head coach. 

Despite several controversial moves while coaching the team, Ryan led the Eagles to several playoff appearances and once again assembled a defense that many consider the best of all time.  With the likes of Reggie White and Jerome Brown anchoring the defensive line, Ryan's 1991 defense led the league in passing yards allowed, rushing yards allowed, and several other statistical categories.
