Lundqvist, the 3 time Best Goaltender Award winner in the Swedish League, has become a reliable and often times magnificent goalie for the Rangers, and played an enormous role in helping to lead the Rangers back to the Playoffs. 

He also became a Swedish household name when he backstopped the Swedes to the Gold Medal iin the 2006 Olympics, allowing only 12 goals in 6 contests.
