Considered one of the most physically imposing and feared forwards in the league, Georges Laraque began his career in Edmonton when the Oilers selected him with the 31st Overall Pick in the 1995 NHL Draft. Laraque spent several years with the Oilers' AHL team before getting the call-up in the 1997-98 season and would become a mainstay on the team for the next several years.
Despite being known mainly for his physical play and fighting ability, Laraque also possesses the skill to be a legitimate threat on the offensive side of the ice, highlighted by his 13 goal, 16 assist campaign with the Oilers in the 2000-01 season. Following his time with the Oilers, Laraque spent a year with the Phoenix Coyotes before signing with the Pittsburgh Penguins prior to the 2006-07 season. Laraque's physical presence provided the Penguins with a new dimension to go along with all their young, offensive talent, helping to make the Penguins a much more complete and dangerous team.
This Pittsburgh Penguins Official NHL Game Puck is signed by Laraques and comes with a BC Sports Certificate of Authenticity.
