An intimidating pitcher with the stuff to back it up, Bob Gibson was one of the best pitchers of his era, and one of the best all time in Major League Baseball.   Gibson spent his entire career with the St. Louis Cardinals, setting countless team records and becoming a franchise icon in the process.

Winner of 9 Gold Gloves and 2 Cy Young Awards, Gibson posted an incredible 1.12 ERA in the 1968 season and took home the N.L. MVP Award.  He was also a two time World Series MVP and holds numerous World Series records, including most strikeouts in a game with 17. Gibson, an 8-time All-Star, finished his career with 3,117 strikeouts and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.
