Nicknamed the 'Wizard of Oz', Ozzie Smith spent the majority of his Major League career with the St. Louis Cardinals where he helped revolutionize the shortstop position. Smith won an unprecedented 13 straight Gold Gloves at the position and is widely considered the best defensive player of all time.
In his first year with the Cardinals, Smith helped to lead them to the World Series Championship and twice more took the team to the World Series, including in 1985 when he was named the NLCS MVP. Never known for his power at the plate, Smith was still a productive offensive player, finding ways to get on base and stealing over 500 bases during his career.
The 15-time All-Star retired in 1996 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. Smith will forever be remebered not only for his acheivements, but also for the flair and excitement he constantly brought to the game.
This Framed 8x10 St. Louis Cardinals Photo of Smith doing one of his trademark back flips is signed by Smith and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
