Such information will be collected only if provided to BC Sports voluntarily in order to order products, enter a contest or promotion, or sign up to receive BC Sports s newsletters. BC Sports does not require that any personal information be provided in order to view BCSports.com.
Information collected by BC Sports is used to: Allow customers to order products, register for newsletters and participate in special promotions; Track online promotions and sales; Improve BCSports.com by observing products that are most popular; and Personalizing the delivery of information and recommend products to customers. Customer personal information may also be used to create statistics about BCSports.com that BC Sports may use to measure and improve online performance.
These statistics do not contain any information that could identify customers personally.
BC Sports does not sell customer information to any organization for any purpose.
EMAIL/NEWSLETTERS
BC Sports will send emails related to customer orders placed on BCSports.com to ensure customers are informed on the status of their orders. Periodically, BC Sports sends newsletters to inform customers of specials or promotions.
Individuals may choose not to receive newsletters by opting out in their My BC Sports accounts. Alternatively, customers can email nothanks@bcsports.com and request to be removed from the newsletter list.
OPTIONAL REGISTRATION
BC Sports recommends that customers register in order to take advantage of the many benefits of maintaining an account. Unlike many sites, however, registration is not necessary for placing orders. BC Sports offers a "buy now" option that requires only the minimum information required to process orders. Please note that not maintaining an account will limit access to order history and address book.
CREDIT CARD DATA STORAGE
BC Sports does not store credit card information. Transactions are managed using the highest level of protection available, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL 128-bit) encryption, and the payment system is continually updated with the latest security advancements. Banks processing credit card payments store credit card information.
PASSWORD PROTECTED ACCOUNTS
When customers decide to register accounts their account information is secured by password protection assigned and maintained by each customers. Information is only released to the specific email address recorded in each account profile. It is not given out in any other situation without identity verification being provided. The account information contains the billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers and email address provided and maintained by each customer as well as each customer’s order history. It does not include credit card information.
COOKIES
Like most sites, BCSports.com uses cookies to make each customer’s shopping experience the best it can be and to track orders throughout BCSports.com. No personal or credit card information is stored in these cookies and there is no risk to privacy or security based upon cookie usage. BC Sports does not require cookie usage to process orders.
